    UPF HI-VIS WEAR INNOVATION

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and is the rating given to clothing for its protection against solar ultraviolet radiation.

    Protection Level:

    • UPF measures both UVA and UVB rays, while SPF only measures UVB.
    • Ultraviolet A (UVA) has a longer wavelength and is associated with skin ageing.
    • Ultraviolet B (UVB) has a shorter wavelength and is associated with skin burning.

Hivizology specialists Leo Workwear have designed a variety of garments offering UPF 40+ protection.  We are pleased to be able to offer our clients a range of sustainability, hi-vis protection, that also offers UPF protection as the summer finally heats up. Metatarsal Protection

A safety boot that is perfect for airports and logistic staff

With over half a million workplace injuries in the UK a year and foot injuries a contributing factor, it is essential for employers and employees to make the right footwear protection decisions.

Foot injuries especially can be expensive, often a several thousand pound claim, with many hidden and uninsured costs.

The new Airlite AL-100 safety boot offers top of foot protection using an innovative product called ‘PORON-XRD’. A flexible material that hardens with impact, providing immediate protection from falling objects.

      What to look out for

      Latest Innovations

      1. SMART FABRICS

Smart fabrics are revolutionising the workwear industry by providing a range of benefits, including moisture-wicking, temperature regulation, and odor control. These fabrics are designed to interact with the wearer’s body, sensing changes in temperature, moisture, and other environmental factors, and adjusting accordingly.

      2. WEARER TECHNOLOGY

Some examples of wearable technology in workwear include safety vests with built-in GPS tracking, hard hats with sensors that monitor head impact and heat exposure, and smart gloves that allow workers to control machinery and equipment remotely.

      3. ADAPTIVE CLOTHING

Adaptive workwear is designed to accommodate a range of physical impairments, such as limited mobility, reduced dexterity, or prosthetic limbs. Examples of adaptive workwear include magnetic closures instead of buttons, adjustable waistbands, and tear-away seams.
