AMBITIOUS AIRSPACE REDESIGN
The UK government has announced a transformative overhaul of its airspace—the most significant since the 1950s—to address growing congestion and modernise flight operations. This initiative introduces the UK Airspace Design Service (UKADS), managed by NATS (En Route) plc, aiming to streamline flight paths, reduce delays, and accommodate emerging aviation technologies
With air traffic increasing from 200,000 flights in the 1950s to 2.7 million in 2024, the existing airspace structure is outdated. The redesign will focus initially on London’s congested airspace, facilitating more direct routes and supporting airport expansions like Heathrow’s third runway.
Benefits include quicker flights, fewer delays, and reduced emissions due to more efficient flight paths. Additionally, the modernisation will pave the way for integrating innovative technologies such as drones and flying taxis, positioning the UK at the forefront of aviation advancement.

AVIATION INNOVATION
Introducing the JetCart which has been on trial with one of our airport customers. The aim to reduce time on the apron by ensuring ground staff have all they need in one place while providing a convenient passenger guiding system.
The JetCart holds up to 10 chocks and 8 cones, ensuring compatibility with all aircraft types and safety requirements. It is an easily towable trailer that supports towing speeds of up to 30km/h, making it ideal for larger, busier aprons.
